Speech-Language Update:
- Ty is using mostly 3 word phrases and a bunch of 4 word phrases also (i.e. "see you next week"). He also has used one 5 word phrase. (After watching a few minutes of a 4 year old soccer practice after coming out of his gymnastics class, he said (and continues to say all the time " tell Daddy do Sota Pwat" (tell Daddy do soccer practice) ....so needless to say, J.D. and Ty will be having their own soccer practice on Saturday morning. Also, he woke up the other morning in his crib yelling " GO HOOS GO"...pretty funny! One more story: Yesterday morning J.D. went to the gym before Ty woke up. When he woke up, I brought him into our bed to snuggle. He kept saying "Daddy? Daddy?" I told him Daddy was at the gym. He said "no mama, Daddy Pee-a-boo"..then he started looking under the covers saying "pee-a-boo, I see you" (a phrase he now says all the time!).
- He's using prepositions.
- He's using pronouns and flipping them appropriately (i.e. if I say "you get the ball" he'll respond with "I det a ball")
- He's still fronting the /k/ and /g/ sounds (so they become /t/ and /d/)
- He will imitate absolutely anything you say.
- He says lots of multisyllabic words and will correct his old 1 syllable pronunciation of a word to a 2-3 syllable if you ask him to "say the whole word"
- He can recognize 13-14 uppercase letters in the alphabet in all contexts
- He occasionally will use an irregular past tense verb (I saw vs. I see or I seed).
- He will use an -ing verb in imitation
