Ty's new sounds this past week (7): Goo & oo
He is also pretty consistently cooing (I heard reduplicative babbling once--dada--during his conversation). He is also beginning to talk back and forth with us. (beginning to learn the art of conversational turn taking). (Yes....his mom is a speech-language pathologist, so although no one else probably notices or cares about these little milestones, I do!!)
Ty is also smiling much more frequently. Sometimes it is in response to our facial expressions or sounds we make and other times, it is while looking at an object, but it is definitely not just gas related smiles now! (unfortunately, I haven't gotten a good picture of this yet..)
Ty and I continue to do a lot of walking and are enjoying our time outside!
J.D. and I hired a nanny that will come 2 days/week starting at the end of August. It's very scary to give your child to someone you don't know very well, but she seems great!
Current Eating Schedule (approximate) for the past 3 weeks:
7:00-7:30 am
10:00 am
12:30-1:00 pm
3:30-4:00 pm
6:30 pm
8:30-9:00 pm
10:45 pm (dream feed)
sometime between 2:00-5:00 am (mostly once during that time, but sometimes twice)
He is currently awake for about an hour at a time including feeding time. Feeding/diapering usually takes us around 30 minutes, so he gets a solid 30 minutes to play!
Week 7:
Tyler weighs 9 lbs, 15.5 oz!! (He's got quite the belly and is beginning to get cute thigh rolls!)
(He is still eating about 4 oz/feeding)
During Week 6, Ty weighed 9 lbs, 5.5 oz...so he gained 10 oz in a week!! WHOA!
Allie came to visit:

Brunch with Laurie and Armand:
My new awesome baby carrier--The Moby Wrap! We've been doing a lot of walking in this when it's not too hot out!

Jaimee's Bday Party (6/6/10)
Rolling over!! What a champ! (He did it at least 10 times in a row at Jaimee's Party (8 weeks old) We didn't have our video camera, so here's the picture version of rolling over!
First video is 7 weeks old and second video is 8 weeks old
The first video was taken just after he effortlessly rolled over and I didn't capture it on video. This is round two, and he was frustrated that he couldn't do it right away like he did a few minutes earlier...can you tell?
