He has had quite the busy social schedule recently. My dad says that he's so busy that he needs a social secretary or at least a PDA. ...I guess that's my job :) Ty went on lunch dates every day last week. He also loves to go for walks (or sleeps.....Becca walks while pushing the stroller while Ty sleeps in the stroller. On Friday, we walked somewhere between 12-13 miles all around Ballston, Clarendon and our neighborhood.
Tyler's eyes are really starting to focus more. I can hold his head up to my face and his eyes are beginning to work together and stay focused while I'm talking to him. When I got home on Saturday, J.D.'s dad was holding him. I said "hi" to him and he immediately turned his head to see where I was...pretty cool that he knows my voice.
He is also getting so strong. If I put him on my lower stomach, he will crawl all the way up to my shoulders.
Currently, Ty is going 3 hours in between feedings during the day and 4-4.5 hours at night. This allows J.D. and I to get sleep in about 3-3.5 hour chunks. Surprisingly, I feel pretty well rested.
His main fussy time happens to be right when J.D. and I sit down to dinner. It doesn't matter whether it is 7 pm or 8:30 pm, he cries. He is definitely not inconsolable. He really just wants to be held and paid attention to. As soon as someone picks him up, he's happy. We have been alternating eating and holding him. At least we're sitting at the table together as a family, right? :)
This weekend, I went to a work conference. I was gone from 7:45-4:30 on Saturday and Sunday...a long time! Ty got some good daddy time!! Everything went very well, but J.D. said he realized how hard my job staying at home with Tyler really is.
Oh my goodness...how has it been 3 weeks already?!!!!!! I have a feeling we're gonna be saying this for the rest of his life....we'll be at his wedding saying "I feel like he was just born!" Love you guys...
