Week 37: Still pregnant.......Simone's Party, Bath, Art, Soft Playroom, Swimming

There was a little drama this week.  On Monday night, I started having a lot of contraction (although not painful).  Given my history of a fast labor with Tyler, the doctor on call thought it would be a good idea to head to the hospital.  At 10 pm, I measured 1 and a half cm (I was only maybe 1 cm dilated on Friday) and my contractions were coming every 2-5 minutes.  They admitted me to the hospital to see if I made any cervical change.  They recommended that I walk for 2 hours, so from midnight until 1:30 am (we got really tired) we walked the halls of the labor and delivery floor (takes about 2 minutes to do a lap....imagine how boring....haha!) Since we still haven't picked a middle name, we brought a name book on our walk, but still no luck on that front.  At 2 am, they put me back on the monitor to see how the baby was doing and they checked my cervix....still no change...ugh! We tried to sleep until 4 am when they put me on the monitor again.  They put the monitor on again at 7 am and checked my cervix....still no change....ahhhh!!! Apparently the only definition of true labor (vs. false labor or early labor) is cervical change.  At this point they sent me home.  Very frustrating! So here I am 5 days later and still no baby.
Little Baby Bluey has a mind of his own. We can't wait to meet him, whenever he decides to make his appearance!

Here's what we were up to this week other than being in the hospital:

Simone's birthday party....ice cream cake...YUM!

Swimming in the bathtub

Art class called Abrakadoodle Art.  Tyler absolutely loves it! Check out the adorable apron. Thanks to both of my parents and Susie for helping me take Tyler or going with me.

The Soft Playroom with Mommy and Anna

Some videos of jumping into the ball pit

Swimming.  Look at that stud in his googles! He always wants to pretend he is Ryan Lochte.  He told me I was Missie Franklin.

At the pool, when I told Ty I was going to go to the bathroom and I'd be right back, he said: "okay, but mommy don't forget, no running." ....thanks Tyler! He didn't want the lifeguard to blow the whistle at me. How sweet!! Love you my boy!

Kick boarding with Gee Ga Jo

The Olympics have been amazing! Here is Tyler cheering for Ryan Lochte and then for Michael Phelps!

Thank goodness for being off bed rest!! Fern and I went on a walk yesterday morning before it got too hot! How great to be able to walk again.  Check out our bellies!
Me: 37 weeks, 3 days
Fern: 32 weeks, 1 day
