Last month, we had a wonderful trip to Cancun! J.D.'s parents joined us for 5 of the 7 days which was wonderful! We was very fun to reminiss about having been to the exact same hotel with them 7 years ago. At that time, J.D. and I had only been dating for 3 months! ....my how times have changed....
Here are the 4 best pictures from the trip that my dad edited...Thanks Dad!!!

Here are more pictures....I'm terrible at deciding so I just included a lot.
Snugging his daddy on the plane! Ty was to stickers, the ipad, books, etc.
Our first night out to dinner

Susie and Joel got here and we went to our favorite restaurant-Puerto Madero

Sharing Pop's black bean soup...and by sharing, I mean eating the whole thing. Sorry Pops!

The Mayan dancers put on a show and Joel decided it would be fun to take Tyler up on the stage so he could get a better view....pretty funny!

He looks so old!

Loving on Pops and Gee Gee Sue!

The hotel had this fabulous part of the pool that was only a couple of inches deep that Tyler could play in by himself....awesome!

a little scared of the big pool

But he went in and loved it!

a little sleepy after a fun time in the pool!

The theme of the trip was "I love Gee Gee Sue and no one can do anything with me except Gee Gee Sue." It's a good thing Gee Gee Sue is just as in love!

Our family!

Enjoying a walk down to the ocean with Pops

and of course Gee Gee Sue

I love this picture. His curls were in their prime in Cancun!

Sticking his toes in the water was a little scary

J.D. made him a "sandbox" with 4 beach chairs which was good because the first day we were there, Tyler had no idea what to do because there was sand everywhere. He needed some boundaries so he could enjoy it.

Again, back to one of our favorite restaurants-La Destilleria. The biggest margarita anyone has ever seen!

At the restaurant there was a mariachi band that played for the whole restaurant. Tyler loved it! He got out of his high chair and danced with them for several songs. He provided entertainment for the whole restaurant.

It was also at this restaurant where we taught him to say "Como Estas"....."bien". Just when we thought he understood what it meant and how to use it, Tyler points at the waiter and says "What's como esta doing?" ....he thought that como esta was the waiter's name. Does it get any funnier....

Putting stickers in his sticker book with Gee Gee Sue.

Tyler did not want to get in this tub....very scary.
The whole gang!
walking to the pool with Gee Gee Sue

Eating corn pops and yogurt for breakfast while watching the black birds.

getting ready to nap in the stroller! Thanks to Gee Gee Sue and Pops for walking Ty everyday so that he would fall asleep in the stroller!...genius plan!

Last night and back to Puerto Madero. Getting a little sleepy....

playing ipad with Mommy

The whole family!

J.D. and I just like old times!

Sharing his pacie with Pops!

Family picture!

Pushing the elevator button was definitely a highlight of the day!

Played golf with Pops at the airport!

Overall, it was an excellent trip. I wouldn't exactly call it relaxing because traveling with kids is rarely relaxing, but it was wonderful family time! Also, Tyler had a huge language explosion while were were there. ...definitely a highlight of the trip for me. :)
