Tyler is 9 months!-first basketball game, 2 teeth, words?, walking while pushing a toy...

I'm 9 months old!!!!

He loves to watch the cars drive by outside our house
When left to my own devices......

I still love to eat!
Such a big boy (8 1/2 months)

I really love the park:

Helping Daddy build my new cube shelf! (8 1/2 months)

This is so much bigger than me!
My new playroom:
Annual girl's high tea:
Helping Daddy fold the laundry

His first basketball game:

Fell asleep in his high chair at Boylan Heights....

Breakfast with his older buddy Robert

Tyler is now 9 months old and a lot has been going on in the past month:
  • waving at people independently and when he is waved at or when someone says "hi" (since 7 1/2 months, but consistently since about 8 months)
  • Opening and closing the kitchen cabinet doors and pulling out everything that's inside
  • Tyler has 2 teeth!! Front bottom right tooth and front top left tooth! They came about 2-3 days apart at 8 months, 3 weeks. This has made sleep in the last month very difficult .... and he has the other two front teeth that are about to come in any day now...
  • Walking while pushing a toy across the room (his activity table) ( 9 months)
  • He responds beautifully to his name and "come here"
  • He gives a high 5
  • He does the following signs: milk, more, all done, eat, yes, hi. He understands probably between 20-30 signs.
  • He will stick his tongue out and move it all around (yea oral motor development!!) He will also imitate sticking out his tongue!
  • He will imitate sounds like /p/ and /b/.
Maybe I'm just a crazy speech pathologist but I swear he has already said a few words. Aside from babbling like crazy and saying dada all the time,

  • I walked into his room several days in a row after naptime and Tyler waved at me and said a very clear "hi"
  • Tyler was eating his dinner and I asked him (while signing) "are you all done?" and he signed "all done" and said "ah duh" !! It was clear as day!
  • He answers questions with a "yes" sign and/or a big smile and very often says "ya"
