Tyler repeated a sound several time-- the /p/ sound! For me, as a speech-language pathologist, it just doesn't get any better than that. He was eating peas and I kept saying "peas" and "p" ...which by the way, he thinks is the funniest thing when you say anything that sounds like "pee"...he just laughs and laughs like it's the best joke ever! This time, however, in addition to laughing hysterically, he started repeating the "p"!!! I am so proud!!
On the talking front, Tyler is now saying "ya ya ya ya ya ya ya" ...GO TY! (10/27/10)
Tyler had his 6 month (well really 6 1/2 month) doctor's appointment and everything is going excellent! The doctor couldn't believe that he started crawling at 5 1/2 months! Here are the stats:
Weight: 16 lbs, 1 oz (25th %)
Height: 26 1/2 inches (50th%)
Head Circumference: 16 3/4 in. (10-25%)
Tyler is now eating solids 2x/day and loving everything (except peas and avocado). He loves: sweet potato, butternut squash, acorn squash, green beans, pumpkin, apple, banana, rice cereal, oatmeal and barley/rice/oat cereal! This weekend, we will make pears!
We went to Charlottesville for Tyler's 2nd game! While we were there, we went apple picking and pumpkin picking at Carter's Mountain. Tyler got to have his first taste of apple...HE LOVED IT!
