I apologize in advance for the scattered blog post. It has to be done in between feedings and diaper changes....
Ty has had many firsts over the past 2 weeks.
- The day after we got home from the hospital, Ty went to his first take-out restaurant: Subway
- Ty went out to his first restaurant for lunch: Lost Dog (one of his parent's favorites)
- Ty has visited Clarendon twice
- Ty has gone to his first baby store: Buy Buy Baby
- Ty went to Grandma Joanie and Grandpa Rick's house
- Ty had two babysitters (Grandpa Rick -- while his mom, grandma and aunt went to get pedicures-- and Aunt Allie, Grandma Joanie, and Grandpa Rick --- while his parents went out to their first "adult-only" dinner with Fern and Khalil)...all went very well.

- Ty went to his first "playgroup" with 4 other kids (they all either ate or slept the whole time)
- Ty has been on walks almost every day (around our neighborhood, to Ballston, Clarendon, and the O&D trail)

- Ty had his first sponge bath and two regular baths in the baby bathtub. (the 2nd bath went much better...less screaming!)
- Ty went to happy-hour with his parents at Mexicali Blues in Clarendon
J.D. and I have been doing a lot of laundry and dishes. We have been doing Tyler's laundry every other day and running the dishwasher once a day. (Yesterday, he went through 4 or 5 outfits...) He also goes through somewhere between 10-15 diapers a day....
We added his name to his nursery after he was born:

I'm not very good at telling who babies look like, but I think that Tyler's facial expressions are identical to J.D....it's pretty funny. However, as Fern pointed out, I think he has my profile and definitely has my nose. Check it out:

J.D. went back to work on a modified schedule last week. Ty and I enjoyed our time together, but certainly missed him! Here daddy comes home from work and Ty is very excited to see him.
Ty has had many visitors in the past two weeks and has loved meeting everyone!! Thanks to all of our family and friends for the kind wishes, food, visits, etc. We love you all and are so glad that Ty is getting to spend time with you!
