Here's me pregnant with Tyler at Week 34 and 35

On Tuesday, I'll officially be off of bed rest and 36 weeks! It's hard to believe that I will have been on bed rest for almost 4 weeks! Another special thanks to all of our family and friends for the support, love, time, food, magazines, goodies, etc. We are so lucky to have you all!
I'm very ready to get off the couch! In fact, I have a pedicure appointment, lunch date with Tyler and my moms, and a hair cut appointment for Ty and I on Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to it! In fact, as nice as it is to be waited on, I'm really looking forward to not troubling anyone with my requests for seltzer or food. I'm also so excited to be able to take care of Tyler. He's is really excited for me to be able to get off the couch and take him places. He and I really miss each other!
Here's what we (Ty) have been up to:
Going to the Orioles game with Daddy and Buh Puh! Thanks to Ned, as always for the tickets!
Getting an Orioles hat (thanks Buh Puh!)
Hanging out in the suite!
Reading with Gee Gee Sue (she brings the best books!!)
Play date with Eve (and Adrianne!)!
Playdate with Baby Hudson and Meredith
Tee Ball with Pops
Playing tennis with Daddy any opportunity he gets
Playing in the back yard pool that Uncle Ryan and Ana Marie got him!
Along Fern's friend Jackie and Esther, I hosted Fern's Baby Shower. This is pretty amusing given the fact that I was on bed rest, but we actually had it worked out pretty well! Thanks to my mom who offered to host the shower at her house. She did all of my shopping, cleaning and prepping. Everything I did was either from the computer or directing from a chair. It actually worked out beautifully and I'm so thankful for her help! It was a huge success. When it was all said and done, I was exhausted, but I'm so glad I was able to do this for Fern! What wonderful friends she has!
Check out our bumps!
The hosts and the guest of honor!
A few pics of Ty loving on Baby Bluey! He's so excited to be a big brother!
Week 35: Baby Bluey is a Honeydew Melon!
Weight: 5.25-5.5 lbs

What's happening with the baby:
Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds (pick up a honeydew melon). Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.

Your baby is standing tall (so to speak) this week at about 20 inches and continues her steady weight gain to 5.5 pounds. While she won't get much longer, she will continue to pack on the pounds — including large amounts of baby fat — right up 'til delivery day. Something else that's moving at a mind-boggling pace these day: fetal brain development! There's a lot going on inside that tiny head, which is, by the way, still soft to allow an easier exit through the birth canal.

- The average baby weighs almost five and a half pounds now.
- Most babies born now will survive and without many long-term problems.
- Fat accumulations plumps up the arms and legs this week. These layers of fat will help him regulate his body temperature. They also provide those cute little dimples on elbows and knees!
- Her hearing is fully developed, so be sure to talk to your daughter. Do you find yourself speaking in a high-pitched tone? That's okay since some studies show babies respond better to higher pitches.
- It's getting crowded! Your baby is now taking up most of the uterus and you may even feel like your chest has run out of room! Soon enough though, baby will move down and you'll be able to breathe easily again (just not walk so easily! Ha!).
- Your baby is 18.2 inches (46.2cm) long and weighs 5.3 pounds (2383gm).
- The testes have completed their descent in males.

The shower was spectacular. Love you, Bec! Thank you so much!!!!
